The Reading Nook – Encouraging Literacy & Imagination

The Nature Explorer Area – Discovering Science Outdoors
Just outside our building lies a natural playscape perfect for scientific examination of the outside world. Magnifying glasses, binoculars, collection jars, and recording materials allow children to closely observe wildlife and botanicals. Natural loose parts like pinecones, pebbles, and sticks spark creativity in structures built from materials found in nature.
The Tinkering Lab – Getting Hands-On with STEAM
Our tinkering lab hosts a spectrum of activities that enable children to dabble in science, math, and design firsthand. Activities like designing spinning tops, building marshmallow structures, and mixing color potions allow for early STEAM learning through participatory, engaging hands-on play.
Dramatic Play Areas – Encouraging Self-Expression
Our dramatic play areas include pint-sized play kitchens fully equipped with play food and cooking utensils to spur imaginary culinary concoctions. The Music Corner – Finding Rhythm & Melody
Whether experimenting with hand bells, rain sticks, drums, or xylophones, our music corner allows children to discover melody, and rhythm and develop listening abilities while having fun! Spontaneous dance parties break out as children play instruments and move.
Inviting, Flexible Seating – Creating Collaborative Zones
Cozy floor cushions, lounge chairs, couches, bean bag chairs, lap desks, and small world play tables create flexible spaces for children to collaborate. Movable seating clusters and small hideaways tucked into corners foster social connections and relationship building.
Outdoor Playscapes – Room to Grow
Our playground, covered patio zones, tricycle tracks, splash pads, sandboxes, and green spaces encourage active play that develops gross motor skills, physical competence, and sensory processing. Outdoor play also forges a connection with nature that inspires environmental appreciation.
